We are hiring for the Data Entry Clerk position. This is a remote work from home hourly position. The Data Entry Clerk position is entry level but requires good typing skills, attention to detail and motivation. Additionally, you may be asked to do simple internet research and then compile your findings in a Microsoft Word document or Open Office.We offer Part Time and Full Time / Part time entry level positions. Your working hours are yours to set as long as productivity requirements are met.REQUIREMENTS ::Reliable Internet connectionComputer / Laptop or phone device: you're able to use your choice as long as you can meet the Data Entry Clerk standardsAbility to type with speed and accuracyKnowledge of simple data processing applications such as Microsoft Word or (Open Office – free to download )Will familiarize yourself with basic Google docs if neededMotivated, friendly, able to work with team members and occasionally you may be asked to interface with customers via emailAbility to conduct web based research as needed such as Google searches, etcThe Data Entry Clerk will use Word or Open office (a free download) to input all data or Google docs as directed(Optional) Sales skills are not required or mandatory but if candidate wishes to inquire about our Sales Rep position further opportunity is available for those who show interestMust be able to work independently and with integrityMay be asked on occasion to handle customer's bill processingDUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :: - Duties and Responsibilities Any one position may not include all of the specific duties and responsibilities listed.
Examples provide a general summary of the work required and should not be treated as a total and complete list of expected duties to be performed by employees in the classification.- Provide data entry support to the assigned departments by creating and or maintaining various data systems for tracking and monitoring compliance with department and Union programs such as Caregivers Action Fund and membership campaigns, petition drives, and membership mobilization- Establish and maintain hard copy and/or electronic filing system- Work on special projects as assigned by immediate supervisor- Create spreadsheets, update and maintain Member Strength databases which include entering and tracking membership cards, entering Caregivers Action Fund cards, entering 15-Day Letters, activities reporting, organizing lists (stewards and leadership lists, grievance lists, and may include employer lists)- Assist in the implementation and coordination of other local wide events- Interact courteously and tactfully with managers, co-workers, members, vendors or associates- Perform other duties as required to support the department and mission of the organization- Required Skills, Abilities and Experience:Ability to use computer programs, including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Power Point, Salesforce and OutlookDemonstrated ability to type 80 wpmProficiency using the Internet as a research toolAbility to communicate and relate respectfully with a diverse membership and staffCommitment to provide accurate, efficient and friendly service to staff and membersAbility to multi-taskMust work well under pressureAble to prioritize and complete workloadExcellent punctuality and attendance
