We are looking for a Manager of Risk and Compliance to oversee and manage all aspects of our risk management and compliance programs. This role will be important in safeguarding our organization’s integrity, reputation, and financial stability by ensuring that we adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Compliance:• Company Compliance – coordinate all compliance activities and address any compliance concerns• Policy and Procedures: Oversee, maintain, and update compliance policies and procedures• Auditing: Coordinate internal and external audits related to compliance.
Respond to audits, prepare, and review responses to requesting parties• Regulatory Compliance and filings – liaison with agencies• Manage worker’s compensation program• Maintain OSHA logs and worker’s compensation insurance reporting• Insurance reporting and follow up• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on the status of risk and compliance activities• Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.• Renewals with third party vendors from a compliance standpoint• Develop internal controls• Communicate policies • Protect the company from riskRisk:• Identify vulnerabilities and risks, develop plans to resolve them, provide guidance on avoiding issues• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risk and minimize their impact on the company.
Continuously monitor risk factors and adjust strategies as needed.• Identify deficiencies and put measures in place to eliminate or minimize deficiencies. • Data insights – use data to determine actions needed and report out on them. i.e., workers comp injuriesInsurance:• Liability – auto accidents and claims• Manage the policies and renewalsSafety:• Develop Safety Strategy – effectively communicate it out• Utilize data to identify gaps, address and resolve gaps – strong analytical skills• Engage with auctions to develop and promote safety• Partner with fleet managers on driver safety• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks• Develop safety KPIs for the auctions• Workers Comp – work with HR on workers compensation RequirementsQualifications:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience desired• A minimum of 3 years of experience in risk management and/or compliance, preferably in the auto industry• Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Attention to detail and commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards
