The role involves collaborating with technical teams, developing processes and procedures, and leading new technology introductions with a focus on cost competitiveness, process safety, and sustainability. You will assess and optimize manufacturing capabilities, providing ROI solutions for technology implementation, while supporting strategic business development and cross-functional teamwork.
Travel may involve up to 50% in North America and Argentina.This is an enterprise-level subject matter expert individual contributor. While there are no direct reports, this position requires the individual to display the ability to work in a team and have the capability to influence internal and external teams to complete complex projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with Plants and Process Technology Team to integrate new technologies into Process Development / Process Design cycle across all Arcadium Lithium sites, Technologies and Product Portfolios as needed.
- Work closely with technical center to deploy new technologies successfully at projects sites.
- As a member of PMO, work with other functional teams to develop Arcadium Lithium’s technical processes and procedures for use by project teams around the globe.
- Develop next generation plans for Arcadium Lithium manufacturing processes.
- Focus on robustness of design to allow for maximum flexibility of Lithium inputs and outputs while maintain cost competitiveness in the different regions.
- Manufacturing focus on process safety, high quality, sustainable (fresh water and carbon footprint focus).
- Detailed analysis of existing manufacturing capability and roadmap to update technology with new advances.
- Provide executable solutions with favorable ROI CAPEX and OPEX estimates of new technologies, with expected benefits.
- Lead new technology introductions to projects team.
- Participate in due diligence activities as needed / appropriate.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related field required, Specialization in Chemical / Process Engineering preferred. Master of Science or higher degree is a plus
- 15+ years of professional experience, with a focus on process engineering.
- Proven expertise as a subject matter expert (SME) in process engineering preferred.
- Extensive experience in developing technical processes and procedures is required.
- Manufacturing industry background is highly preferred.
- Expertise in process design, development, and optimization in both plant and capital project environments is essential.
- Strong experience in chemical plant engineering project management is highly desired.
- Proven experience in enterprise-level strategy development, including identifying opportunities, creating value cases, and developing business innovation portfolios.
- Proficiency in English required; Spanish language skills are a plus.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Strong ability to create, analyze, and manage projects that deliver quantifiable business benefits.
- Expertise in specialty chemical processes and lithium or alkali metal experience is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental, health and safety, process safety, manufacturing operations, and quality systems.
- Proficiency in using data and statistical analysis to drive decisions with limited information.
- Knowledge of capital deployment, including cost estimates, and understanding of manufacturing routes for success.
- Critical thinking and leadership abilities to assess, progress, or stop projects based on business results and align with divisional leadership.
- Experience in developing and maintaining a portfolio of new technologies, including CAPEX/OPEX evaluations, technology life cycles, and successful transformations of manufacturing units.
