Sr. Pricing Analyst II

We are looking for an experienced SaaS pricing & packaging analyst to join Pendo’s Pricing & Packaging team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working cross-functionally with a variety of teams and have a passion for data analysis, market research, operations, and strategy. In this role, you will need to be able to balance a variety of opinions, be customer-focused, and have the ability to work independently. Strong candidates will have a proven track record in delivering successful Pricing and Packaging strategies for B2B SaaS products and have delivered these strategies in a fast-paced business environment. 

Responsibilities (what you’ll do):


  • Drive Pricing and Packaging strategy for select Pendo products that is aligned with customer value and optimizes for future growth
  • Work with Product Management to understand product roadmap and feature functionality to develop pricing and packaging recommendations
  • Work with Data to identify areas of opportunity to optimize pricing & packaging
  • Partner with Sales and Revenue Operations to provide strategic and analytical support
  • Keep an eye on the market and competition to keep us a step ahead and understand which product levers we’re in the best position to monetize
  • Develop Pricing and Packaging collateral and tools in the form of presentations, FAQs, etc. to enable the Sales and Revenue Operations teams
  • Establish and operationalize pricing processes to maintain pricing governance
  • Drive pricing research via customer and 3rd party surveys, customer and prospect interviews and internal data analysis
  • Liaison between Operations, Legal, Product, and Finance to manage and deploy all SKUs
  • Collaborate with product and marketing leaders on internal and external communication, and sales enablement. Similarly, collaborate with the business operations team on systems changes, SKU development and adjustments in Salesforce. Collaborate with Data and Revenue Operations on dashboards and reporting
  • Present Pricing and Packaging insights and recommendations to senior leadership

Qualifications (what you have): 


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in pricing strategy, preferably in the B2B SaaS space
  • Proven experience developing and implementing pricing strategies
  • Experience conducting pricing & packaging market research studies 
  • Strong analytical skills and and comfort distilling insights into actionable steps for senior leadership
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate and communicate across cross-functional teams
  • Able to identify and develop solutions to complex problems from a strategic and operational perspective

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Consulting experience, specifically in Pricing & Packaging strategy
  • Experience with Qualtrics and Salesforce
  • Knowledge and experience with pricing research methodologies (e.g. van Westendorp, Gabor Granger, MaxDiff, conjoint)

Compensation


Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.The expected salary range for this role to be performed each location is as follows:

  • New York: $140,800 - $180,000 
  • San Francisco: $154,000 - $190,000
  • Raleigh/US-remote: $134,200 - $170,000

Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
