Video Producer & Editor


Hendrick Motorsports, a leading NASCAR Motorsports operation, is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Video Producer & Editor. The candidate must have two years of experience in a professional video editing/producing environment demonstrating competence in all areas of video production, including pro-grade camera operation, lighting, audio, directing and editing. The Video Producer and editor will have expert knowledge with the Adobe Creative Suite, including a focus on Premiere and After Effects.

Additional responsibilities include the ability to create still and motion graphics, managing internal and external video projects from concept to final edit, as well as assisting in operation of the Hendrick Motorsports studio. The ideal candidate will work proactively and professionally to produce engaging professional-level video content consistent with the company brand for HendrickMotorsports.com, the company’s digital platforms, as well as organizational partners and stakeholders. The role requires creativity; excellent interpersonal communication skills; experience building and managing content calendars; impeccable shooting and creative editing skills; a strong understanding of the digital media landscape; and an ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.Requirements:

  • A two-year college or technical degree is required. A four-year degree in video production, cinematography, television, film or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a professional video production atmosphere
  • Expert level knowledge of video editing software and related tools, including Adobe Creative Suite
  • Understand the ever-changing ecosystem of social media, video production and how to effectively create both long and short form content in that space.
  • Ability to create still and motion graphics
  • Impeccable shooting and editing skills
  • Must have an eye for storytelling and the ability to create, capture and tell the stories through various mediums.
  • Execute project management, tight deadlines and operates within the parameters of a designated budget
  • Operation and knowledge of Mac products
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Experience working in a collaborative and team-based environment
  • Demonstrates high levels of creativity in work produced
  • Track record of fostering positive relationships among peers, managers and organizational partners
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, and travel as needed (approximately 15-30%)
  • Experience working in a professional sports environment preferred
