We design and manufacture high performance products for trenchless technologies for the renewal of water, sewer, and industrial infrastructure. We are seeking to fill a Warehouse Technician position!This position primarily specializes in the packaging and labeling of paint and epoxy products, cleaning vessels with chemicals, and placing finished products in the appropriate locations.
Essential Functions:
· Pour and package paint and paint-like materials into drums, bucket, and cans.· Neatly label containers and boxes with appropriate markings and descriptions.· Clean mixing vessels with chemicals between batches.· Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.· Read sales orders and shipping documents to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.· Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.· Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe.· Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or package in boxes.· Use a pallet wrapping machine to secure pallets for shipping.· Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.· Assist in counting of physical inventory.· Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.· Sweep, dust and mop.
Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.· Inform supervisor of needed supplies.· Wear the proper safety attire (safety glasses, gloves, steel toe boots, respirator).· May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
Requirements:
· Must be at least 18 years of age.· Must be able to operate a forklift.· Must have reliable transportation.· Bilingual preferred (Spanish) but not required.· EnglishPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday 6:30am-3:30pm. Some overtime may be required. Flexibility is required as job duties demand.This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers. Techs have a physically strenuous and demanding job.
