About this Role:
WorkWhileWe are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Operations to lead and scale our operational functions. As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, drive process improvements, and ensure the seamless delivery of our services to both workers and businesses. This role requires a blend of operational expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for creating impactful solutions in the gig economy.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Develop and execute operational strategies to support WorkWhile’s growth and scalability.
- Oversee all aspects of operations, including workforce management, customer support, vendor relationships, and logistics.
- Ensure operational processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with company goals.
Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
- Implement data-driven decision-making processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Team Management:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the team.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure professional growth and development.
Customer and Worker Experience:
- Ensure a seamless and positive experience for both workers and businesses using the WorkWhile platform.
- Address operational challenges and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Collaborate with the product and tech teams to enhance platform functionality based on user feedback.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and clients.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to support operational goals and business growth.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in a high-growth startup or gig economy platform.
- Proven track record of scaling operations and driving process improvements.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for innovation and a deep understanding of the gig economy landscape.
