About this Role:


WorkWhileWe are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Operations to lead and scale our operational functions. As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, drive process improvements, and ensure the seamless delivery of our services to both workers and businesses. This role requires a blend of operational expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for creating impactful solutions in the gig economy.

Key Responsibilities:


Operational Leadership:


  • Develop and execute operational strategies to support WorkWhile’s growth and scalability.
  • Oversee all aspects of operations, including workforce management, customer support, vendor relationships, and logistics.
  • Ensure operational processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with company goals.

Process Optimization:


  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Team Management:


  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the team.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure professional growth and development.

Customer and Worker Experience:


  • Ensure a seamless and positive experience for both workers and businesses using the WorkWhile platform.
  • Address operational challenges and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Collaborate with the product and tech teams to enhance platform functionality based on user feedback.

Strategic Partnerships:


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to support operational goals and business growth.

Who You Are:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in a high-growth startup or gig economy platform.
  • Proven track record of scaling operations and driving process improvements.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for innovation and a deep understanding of the gig economy landscape.
