POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for leading Mohawk Global’s technology strategy, IT governance, cybersecurity, data management, and digital transformation initiatives. This role ensures that IT infrastructure, systems, and applications align with business goals, enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation in the global logistics industry.As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CTO plays a critical role in ensuring technology scalability, business continuity, compliance, and security while leveraging digital tools to optimize Mohawk Global’s supply chain, logistics, and trade operations.
The CTO will drive AI, automation, and advanced analytics initiatives, positioning Mohawk Global at the forefront of industry-leading technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy, aligning technology investments with business growth objectives.
- Drive and communicate a technology strategy that aligns IT capabilities with business objectives, ensuring executive leadership, employees, and stakeholders are engaged and informed.
- Partner with C-suite executives and business leaders to integrate IT into operational strategy, improving efficiency and scalability.
- Lead the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI, automation, blockchain, and advanced analytics to optimize supply chain operations.
- Oversee IT risk management, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, data privacy laws, and cybersecurity best practices.
IT Operations & Infrastructure
- Oversee enterprise-wide IT operations, ensuring reliability, security, and performance of systems, networks, and applications.
- Drive cloud transformation and modernization of IT infrastructure to enhance flexibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans to protect operations against disruptions.
- Establish IT governance frameworks, optimizing IT service management, process automation, and system integration.
Cybersecurity & Data Governance
- Develop and enforce a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, protecting company data, customer information, and IT assets.
- Implement best-in-class data privacy and security frameworks, ensuring compliance with U.S. and global trade regulations.
- Lead initiatives to strengthen identity and access management (IAM), vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.
- Monitor cybersecurity trends and proactively mitigate risks to ensure operational resilience and regulatory compliance.
Digital Transformation & Innovation
- Lead the digital transformation strategy, leveraging AI, machine learning, and automation to improve operational efficiencies.
- Oversee the development of proprietary software solutions, enhancing global logistics and trade management capabilities.
- Spearhead process automation initiatives, optimizing workflows and reducing manual inefficiencies.
- Evaluate new technologies, such as IoT, blockchain, and predictive analytics, to improve logistics and supply chain performance.
People Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, performance, and continuous learning.
- Establish strong cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Compliance to ensure IT supports strategic goals.
- Drive change management strategies, ensuring smooth adoption of new technologies across the organization.
- Promote a culture of cybersecurity awareness, ensuring all employees understand their role in protecting company assets.
Financial & Vendor Management
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring strategic investment in technology infrastructure and digital capabilities.
- Oversee vendor relationships, negotiating contracts and managing technology service providers to ensure performance and cost efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization through IT investments and automation.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Education & Experience
- 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with a track record of success in a CIO, CTO, or senior IT executive role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience managing enterprise IT strategy, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, and digital innovation.
- Proven leadership in global IT operations, ERP system implementations, and IT risk management.
- Experience leading large-scale technology modernization and automation projects in a fast-paced, complex business environment.
Technical & Leadership Competencies
- Expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud computing, cybersecurity frameworks, and IT compliance.
- Strong knowledge of data analytics, AI-driven solutions, automation, and business intelligence tools.
- Ability to translate technical strategies into business impact, ensuring IT investments drive growth and efficiency.
- Proven leadership in building and managing high-performing IT teams, fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing IT budgets and vendor negotiations.
