Who You Are…
You are a dedicated individual with a strong background in hardware development and IoT technologies. You possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills, and you have a proven track record of delivering successful hardware products to market.As a Product Manager - Hardware and IoT you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and launch of our hardware and IoT product lines. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to define product requirements, oversee the development process, and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
● Product Vision and Strategy:○ Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to define the product vision and strategy for hardware and IoT solutions.○ Identify market trends and customer needs to inform product roadmap and development priorities.● Hardware and IoT Development:○ Lead the end-to-end development of hardware products, from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with the product vision and market requirements.○ Collaborate with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and IoT specialists to design and develop innovative hardware solutions.○ Oversee the integration of hardware components with IoT platforms and cloud-based systems.● Testing and Validation:○ Define and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure hardware functionality, reliability, and performance.○ Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) teams to validate hardware and IoT solutions against product requirements and industry standards.● Manufacturing and Supply Chain:○ Collaborate with manufacturing penners and suppliers to ensure smooth production and delivery of hardware products.○ Manage product costs and optimize the supply chain to meet market demands and business objectives.● Documentation and Communication:○ Maintain comprehensive documentation related to hardware specifications, design, and development processes.○ Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including Product Managers, engineers, and designers, to provide updates on project status and address any challenges.● Cost Management:○ Evaluate and manage product costs throughout the development lifecycle.○ Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize hardware designs for cost-effectiveness.● Design Collaboration:○ Collaborate closely with industrial designers and user experience (UX) teams to ensure hardware products are aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly, and aligned with brand guidelines.● Software Integration:○ Coordinate with software development teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.○ Define hardware-software interfaces and APIs to enable communication and data exchange.
Qualifications and Education:
● Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role with a focus on hardware development and IoT.● Strong understanding of hardware design, prototyping, and manufacturing processes.● Experience with IoT platforms, sensors, and communication protocols.● Excellent communication and collaboration skills.● Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.● Technical background in engineering or a related field.● Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field.
