Yet organizations and workforces are unprepared for this level of change. Therefore, we believe it’s our job to help businesses rebuild their workflows to be more effective with AI and upskill their workforces to be confident and proficient AI users.Section is seeking a part-time Course Creator with expertise in Engineering to build an AI for Programmers course.
In this contract role, you’ll be responsible for conducting user research to understand learning needs, testing tools, creating end-to-end course content, and building student materials. We’re looking for that special course creator sitting at the nexus of programming, AI, and practical learning.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user and market research to discover learner needs
- Create practical course content about how engineers can leverage AI to be more effective and strategic
- Research and test AI tools for programmers and integrate into course content
- Build instructive demonstrations on relevant tools
- Craft clear, actionable course materials that get students finding and practicing AI use cases for their workflows
- Partner with Education Product Lead on course structure and approach
- Bring course content to life in live workshop format and on-demand video format
- Write concise, engaging scripts for on-demand videos
- Build presentation and student materials in Google Docs and Slides
- Be the live instructor teaching the course content and answering student questions
Requirements
- Proven experience building and teaching learning content designed for engineers (have worked in an EdTech or learning consulting company, have run your own engineering course, etc.)
- Engineering background, and someone who is using AI today for engineering workflows
- Proven AI power user who’s adept at incorporating AI into engineering or programming workflows to improve efficiency and quality
- Naturally curious, eager to unpack learner needs, and fascinated the intersection of generative AI and engineering workflows
- Storyteller, research, and structured thinker who can build engaging and effective frameworks and materials
- Adept communicator who can partner with our team in a fast-paced environment
