The Financial Analyst publishes and manages monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reportsand prepares presentations and visuals to offer key insights. This position will manage cross-departmental financial planning, align financial assessments with strategic goals, and contribute to the organization’s compliance activities.Reporting
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including statement of activities, statement of position and cash flow,with supportingnarratives.
- Perform payroll and other personnel related allocationsand reconciliation across various dimensions. Communicate reconciliation issues to human resources for resolution.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts and investment portfolios.
- Create and present data visualizations in a variety of formats to provide insights.
- Collaborate with the accounting manager to analyze and review accounting transactions and reconciliations.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and provide recommendations in alignment with GAAP.
- Review large grant proposals and make recommendations.
- Ensure accurate tracking of restricted funding and support to development team for reporting deliverables.
- Analyze sponsorships and other agreements for UBI implications; provide recommendations on contract structuresand prepare analysis for external Form 990 preparers.
- Utilize data across various sources to generate ad hoc and routine internal reports.
- Oversee the accuracy and design specifications of Sage Intacct dashboards for departmental use.
- Compile and organize data for externalauditors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for sales tax and solicitation license contractors and compile data as needed.
- Serve as primary point of contact for regulatory payroll reporting and reconciliations.
- Monitor automated financial processes and reports for accuracy and completion, contributing to continuous process improvements.
- Assistin training new team members on financial reporting
Analysis
- Develop and enhance budget and forecasting processes across all departments.
- Identify and provide recommendations on budget variances.
- Align financial goals to strategic and risk goals.
- Research and analyze revenue streams, including membership fees, merchandise, investments, and contributed income,providinginsightsandassessing extended impact on overall organization.
- Assistreporting and council development teams with financial-related analysis.
- SupportHR team in financial analysis of employee benefits and options.
- Design, develop, and implement forward-looking financial models, key analytics, new business scenarios, and ad hoc analyses to support improved financial performance.
- Collaborate with the CFO to analyze financial data to assess the financial health of the organization and identify areas for improvement.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, and accounting
- Experience in nonprofit accountingand financial analysis
- Proficiency in cloud-based accounting and planning software, CRMs, automation software, and project management software. Preference for Sage Intacct, Salesforce, Zapier, and Asana
- Strong data visualization skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to translate financial concepts to non-financial staff
- Proven ability to independently work with data sources from multiple sources
- MBA, CPA, and/or CMA preferred
- Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
