Etz Hayim owns and operates the brands Cycling Frog and Lazarus Naturals, as well as a sprawling operation that spans from farming over 300 acres of hemp, extraction, chemical processing, packaging and warehousing to support both brands and private label customers. Lazarus Naturals was founded in 2016 to provide safe and accessible CBD products for everyone who would benefit from them, regardless of their financial situation and ability to pay, which is why we provide a 60% Assistance Program to veterans and people with disabilities or low-incomes.

In order to maintain an affordable price point and our commitment to accessibility for all, we have built a vertically integrated business model, which allows us to walk our talk of developing quality, affordable products - from product inception, development, seed, farming, extraction, finished production formulation and packaging, and distribution.Cycling Frog is normalizing the consumption of casual use THC products. We are on a mission to make THC convenient, affordable, and fun by making a sessionable THC beverage the same price as a beer or soda. We want to change the way THC is consumed and viewed by our society by focusing on lower potency, ready to drink beverages that can easily fit into anyone’s lifestyle.

Under the Federal Farm Bill it is legal to sell these low potency THC products across all 50 states via the internet, and anywhere you can grab a beer.This role will be based in Portland, Oregon.

Summary:

The Floater position plays a pivotal role in our manufacturing. The role has
responsibilities across multiple Teams in Production related to Packaging, Kitting andFormulations. Flexibility based on the business need in any of these departments is required.Job Description

Packaging department related:


  • Participate in the packaging operations which may include filling, sealing, capsule pressing, heat shrinking, product re-work, loading and off-loading of product, or any other packaging function as directed by the Production Packaging Supervisor.
  • Monitoring the production line, to watch for packaging problems such as pile-ups, jams, sealing issues, or product defects.
  • Pro-actively engage in the improvement of product handling on the production line to gain efficiencies.
  • Loading of formulations or packaging materials to equipment.
  • Observing machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of packaged products.
  • Identifying any non-conforming product. Interfacing with QA Department to ensure re-worked and non-conforming products and packaging material are logged and corrected according to standards.

Formulations department related:


  • Working with the Formulations team. Compliant with procedure and formulas. Adding raw materials per our batch sheets to formulate dry blended formulas, mixtures - Tincture, balm, beverage concentrate, lotion, material for capsules and tablets, etc.
  • Assuring ingredients are scaled properly and batch sheet instructions followed, specifically temperature, mixing rates, order of addition (Following batch procedures) and testing specifications.
  • Assist Quality in sampling as needed.

Kitting:

  • Gathering materials and ingredients for production.

  • Responsible for accurate inventory of picked items, return to stock and finished goods flow out of production.
  • Updating counts and location movements within our systems.
  • Loading, unloading and organization of trailers and storage.

General:


  • Disassembling and reassembling the equipment for sanitation, using basic tools.
  • Able to document processes and verifications on batch records.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing of equipment to comply with food safety and quality standards.
  • General cleaning of area and workspaces.
  • Maintaining best practices according to SOPs and company standards.
  • Adherence to all personnel, food safety, and safety policies.

Requirements


Requirements and Skills:


  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment within pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food processing industries is preferred.
  • Forklift experience.
  • The ability to pass our forklift certification within 60 days.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to receive instruction, and follow and execute directions.
  • Ability to interact positively with co-workers and management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to follow cGMP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, manual and power pallet jacks.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify errors and/or inconsistencies while performing tasks.
  • Self-management skills.
  • Ability to work both as a part of a team as well as on your own
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility with all work duties and hours. Overtime will be required based on the business need.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
