The Senior Implementation Project Manager will lead and optimize complex customer implementations of our vertical SaaS solution in the heavy-duty repair shop sector. They will be hands-on, executing large-scale projects, while also developing repeatable processes and scalable assets to support future growth.
This role will be a hands-on role in implementing our most strategic customers, with the goal to build out and lead a robust project management function.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Scope, initiate, and deliver SaaS implementations for customers with $50k–100k+ ARR, guiding them through the configuration of our product, integration of back-office systems (QuickBooks, Sage), data loading, user training, and multi-location setups.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with customers, sales, senior leadership, and internal teams.
- Build and manage detailed project plans, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of customer-facing projects.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including trainers, data experts, and solutions consultants, to ensure smooth execution of each project phase.
- Identify process inefficiencies and areas for automation, driving continuous improvement to increase scalability and operational efficiency.
- Develop of reusable assets (project templates, best practices, checklists, surveys) to scale future customer implementations.
- Lead internal and customer-facing meetings to align stakeholders, track project progress, and resolve issues.
- Drive the development of a project management function within the company, planning for future team expansion and capability building over the next 12–24 months.
Minimum Education & Work Experience:
Required:
- 5-8 years of experience managing SaaS or IT system implementations, particularly with financial system integrations and data migrations.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and guiding clients through complex technical implementations.
Preferred:
- PMP, CSM, or similar project management certification
- Experience in PE-backed vertical SaaS or consulting
- Experience with back-office financial management systems (QuickBooks, Sage) and AR/AP concepts
- Experience with internal professional services P&L management, including services packaging, project and portfolio financial management, and professional services business metrics
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models and technical integrations, particularly financial systems (QuickBooks, Sage) and data migrations.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale, client-facing implementations, with experience in both direct execution and strategic process development.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while ensuring successful outcomes.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet), and a flexible approach to project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and build relationships with clients.
- Solid understanding of risk management, financial management, and vendor relations.
