Front is a complex, multi-player application with high-performance demands. Our Client Platform team is the backbone of our user experience, maintaining the Desktop (Electron), Mobile (React Native), and Web foundations that power Front. We're looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our team and contribute to building and maintaining these critical platforms. This is a great opportunity to join a small but mighty team that has been able to share over 70% of code between the various platforms to make them more accessible to product teams!
What you’ll do:
- Build and maintain Front’s client-side codebase across Desktop, Mobile, or Web platforms.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining code quality.
- Learn and grow your expertise in our core technologies (React, React Native, Electron).
- Contribute to improving the developer experience for our internal engineering customers.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and product designers to implement new features and improvements.
What skills and experience you need:
- Experience building web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, etc.).
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- A passion for learning and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A product-minded approach and a desire to contribute to a great user experience.
Bonus points:
- Experience with React Native or Electron.
- Basic understanding of native mobile development (Android/iOS).
- Exposure to TypeScript.
