The Opportunity at Komodo Health:
At Komodo, we partner with organizations throughout the healthcare ecosystem to improve patient care and reduce disease burden through data-driven insights. Our diverse clients have a range of familiarity with healthcare technicalities and we strive to provide products designed to be simple enough for a layperson while also allowing power users to explore our data with all the depth and sophistication they require.As a Product and Content Designer, you will own design of platform experiences and AI functionality that meaningfully enhances people’s lives and helsp get us closer to our revenue goals, and will work to build a shared understanding of the personas we serve.
Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have…
- Led the end-to-end design of AI-driven features, developing both interface patterns and content strategy that maintained consistent voice while aligning with business objectives
- Partnered with product, engineering, and AI teams to define requirements and success metrics, ensuring designs were grounded in user research and technical feasibility
- Built scalable content frameworks across multiple user types, including error states, edge cases, and AI dialogue management strategies
- Drove experimentation and research to validate design decisions, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative insights to optimize experiences
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to gather customer feedback, identify priority pain points, and ensure solutions met both user needs and business goals
- Designed and documented AI interaction frameworks, including training data, response variations, and ethical guidelines that maintained trust and transparency
What you bring to Komodo Health:
- Deep expertise in both UX design and content strategy for complex enterprise software, as well as experience designing conversational AI experiences
- Track record of owning end-to-end design projects from concept through implementation, including research, prototyping, and detailed specifications
- Experience with AI systems and conversational design, including NLP concepts and dialogue management, while using data to inform design decisions
- Proficiency with modern design tools and ability to create clear documentation for both UI patterns and content systems
- Strong collaboration skills, particularly with product, engineering, and customer success teams to develop technically feasible solutions
- Portfolio demonstrating ability to transform complex concepts into human-centered solutions, showcasing both interface and content design work

The pay range for each job posting reflects a minimum and maximum range of annual base pay that we reasonably expect to pay for this position within the US. We carefully consider multiple business-related factors when determining compensation, including job-related skills, work experience, geographic work location, relevant training and certifications, business needs and market demands.The starting annual base pay for this role is listed below. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses as determined in the Company’s sole discretion and in accordance with a written agreement or plan.
This role may also be eligible for equity awards. In addition, this role is eligible for benefits including, but not limited to, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance; flexible time off and holidays; 401(k) with company match; disability insurance and life insurance; and leaves of absence in accordance with applicable state and local laws and regulations and company policy. San Francisco Bay Area and New York City:$156,000—$190,000 USDAll Other US Locations: $136,000—$170,000 USD
Where You’ll Work
Komodo Health has a hybrid work model; we recognize the power of choice and importance of flexibility for the well-being of both our company and our individual Dragons. Roles may be completely remote based anywhere in the country listed, remote but based in a specific region, or local (commuting distance) to one of our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago with remote work options.
