About the Position
Qumulo is looking for an experienced, passionate, highly skilled Accounts Payable Analyst to join our growing Finance team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys collaboration and problem solving. A successful candidate exhibits strong judgment and professionalism and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The individual must be able to manage competing demands and execute flawlessly. It is crucial that this person has an aptitude for process and systems optimization and has excellent communication and customer service skills with a strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate is one who feels empowered to innovate, take action, is customer driven, and is comfortable with ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Supports the accounts payable process, including ensuring new vendors are properly set up, W-9 management, ensuring proper invoice coding and approvals, and timely payment of obligations
- Review invoice activity and expense reports for proper GL coding
- Communicate with global suppliers regarding invoice discrepancies, payment timing, account reconciliations, etc.
- Review and approve monthly credit card and expense reimbursement activity ensuring compliance with corporate policies
- Support employee expense reporting process and policy questions
- Use discretion and independent judgment to post invoices in multiple currencies to multiple global entities
- Assist in filing annual 1099s with the IRS
- Assist in month end close processes, including expense analytics
- Apply accounting procedures and process flow documentation
- Support audit requirements, as needed
- Identify areas for improvement and jump on the opportunity to facilitate the necessary change
- Assist other departments with various procurement needs and questions
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Desired Skills and Experience
- At least 3 – 4 years of related experience preferred. Experience with NetSuite and/or Coupa is a plus. Experience participating in a monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting system close process preferred.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with various areas of an organization
- Detail-oriented
- Strong analytical ability
- Proficiency in Excel
- Strong degree of flexibility and customer service attitude
- Well-developed oral and written communication ability
