• Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance and repairs as per OEM requirements.• Systematic and efficiently troubleshoot and diagnose machine systems problems and carry out repairs on earthmoving equipment on customer sites.• Compile accurate customer machine reports that include failure analysis, condition, service, • Machine Inspection Reports (MIR’s) and Technical Analysis reports (TA’s).• Maintain professional image when representing BWE.• Work on specific customer sites as per customer requirements when required.• Ensure complying to safe work practices when working on machines.• Maintain and control Contamination Control Standards.• Responsible and Control of own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, etc.)• Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained (ISO standards)• Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained.
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• Qualified in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) NQF 3• Machine specific technical knowledge and skills• Sound interpersonal and communication skills• Basic technical report writing , business and financial understanding• Some Computer Literacy (SIS, STW & ET) knowledge• Basic trouble shooting and problem-solving skills• Applicable product knowledge• Driver’s licence – Code B• Understanding of supplier warranty systems, policies & procedure
