What you will be doing:


As a systems administrator, you will deploy new servers, provide support for maintaining and enhancing infrastructure, and provide day-to-day maintenance support for troubleshooting. This role requires an individual with technical expertise to administer the entire lifecycle of Linux and Windows platforms. The candidate will provide Windows engineering support to develop automation for the building and patching of Linux and Windows servers and the Ansible Automation Platform in support of new systems being deployed.

As well as apply STE/STN compliance requirements to servers. This role is responsible for interacting with product owners across multiple teams and working with other engineers to troubleshoot problems for multiple systems and network environments. This role analyzes recurring problems, initiates solutions to prevent reoccurrence, and analyzes existing infrastructure for tuning/performance enhancements.

 Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Support IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning, as well as trouble shooting IT Systems
  • Configure and manage operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Leverage Ansible modules to monitor system health, identify issues, and implement automated remediation strategies.
  • Manage switch configuration and apply STE/STN compliance requirements to servers and network device while supporting the 13 playbook 

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:


  • Ten (10) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficient in Linux and Ansible skills.
  • Experience with switch configuration skills and experience applying STE/STN compliance requirements to servers

Certifications: 


  • IAT Level II

Clearance Required:   Must possess an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role
