This opportunity will allow you to utilize your unique blend of deep technical expertise, software and cloud engineering, practice management, and client management skills.This position will report directly to the CTO, and will work closely with the Engineering Mentors and other practice directors to define strategic direction and offerings, hire and develop talent, shape and deliver projects and establish MojoTech’s Data and Analytics capabilities in the marketplace. This role is hybrid - requiring at least one day per week at our Providence or Boulder offices.

Regular travel to regional client sites is expected, with occasional travel throughout the US as needed.Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sales & delivery of data & analytic client projects with an expectation of ~50% billable client time over the course of the year.
  • Develop and communicate a clear plan for our data and analytics practice, including how we will serve clients and generate value.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their challenges, provide expert advice, and recommend data solutions that align with their goals.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of cutting-edge data solutions to address client needs and industry trends.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for further collaboration.
  • Explore and champion partner relationships with key technology and platform providers.
  • Mentor and develop team members, identify training opportunities, and foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
  • Oversee data projects from start to finish, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality delivery.
  • Provide expertise in data modeling, analysis, visualization, and solution implementation.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to pre-sales activities, including proposal writing, client presentations, and project scoping.
  • Help to expand our client base and deepen existing relationships to drive the growth of our data and analytics practice.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in designing and developing solutions in modern data engineering and managing such as Collibra, Informatica and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP
  • Proven experience in a people leadership role within a data consulting or analytics practice
  • Experience defining offerings and capabilities, and bring those to market with a sales team
  • A Growth mindset and desire to learn
  • An enthusiasm for Agile approaches, moving quickly, and getting things done
  • Bachelor’s Degree in: Data Science, Business Analytics or Computer Science (or equivalent education/experience)

‘'Nice to Have' Skills/Experience

  • Snowflake and Databricks experience
  • Financial Services or Retail industry experience
  • Experience in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence
  • Master’s Degree in: Data Science, Business Analytics or Computer Science (or equivalent education/experience)

Benefits:

  • Expected compensation ranges between $150,000 and $200,000 base, plus a performance-based variable bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
