Security Dispatcher


Summary


The Security Dispatcher actively monitors various types of communication messages such as phone, email, and two-way radio. The dispatchers monitor individuals moving throughout various facilities via CCTV and access control systems and dispatches security personnel as necessary. Assist with the protection of staff and property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference, including the potential for violence in the workplace. Qualified personnel must be able to orally express themselves in an appropriate and professional manner, and should have good judgment and decision-making skills in order to guide security personnel.

Possess characteristics and traits, such as self-control, integrity, patience, self-discipline, maturity, attention to detail, and a neat and professional appearance. He/she shall actively support and uphold the agency's stated mission, vision and values.

Essential Functions


  • Receives incoming calls and radio communication and allocates resources as needed to include acknowledging alarm signals and access point to secure locations
  • Documents and communicates every call and incident
  • Analyzes calls-for-service data and prepares and presents incident and statistical reports to identify high-risk areas
  • Monitors activity at multiple locations through use of security technology such as CCTV and access control systems
  • Performs administrative office functions such as generating, filing, sorting, and distributing reports
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Intermediate user of MS office and Excel
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience and familiar with computer aid dispatching software
  • Strong written / oral communication and human relations skills with a proven ability to interact positively in customer, client relationships and efficient data entry ability with strong attention to detail, accuracy and error free work using MS Office & Security Software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion
  • Problem-solving skills with an analytical thought process
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and multi-task
  •  Able to work with flexible schedule due to department needs 21.30 To 23.31 (USD) Hourly
