Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Credit Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support credit-related activities for assigned products and regions, assess and evaluate business opportunities, and assist senior management in risk assessment and decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing credit-related activities for assigned products/regions.
- Assess and evaluate current and new business opportunities.
- Support senior management in risk assessment and decision-making.
- Liaise with Traders, Customers, and Banks to discuss credit matters and resolve issues.
- Analyze customer financial statements and provide recommendations on credit limits and order releases.
- Assist in customer visits to assess creditworthiness and manage collections.
- Prepare reports to monitor exposures.
- Uphold internal credit policies and procedures.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a credit-related role, preferably in commodity trading in the USA and LATAM.
- Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Detail-oriented and capable of making assertive decisions.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with business intelligence tools and ERP systems (JD Edwards and Oracle BI a plus).
