Proposal Manager
Location: Hyderabad (Remote Work)
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Proposal Manager with a strong background in federal government contracting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and federal procurement processes. Experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is highly desirable.As a Proposal Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the proposal development process, ensuring compliance, and driving the delivery of compelling, high-quality proposals that align with customer requirements and organizational objectives.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposal Development Leadership: Manage and oversee the end-to-end proposal process, from pre-RFP activities to final submission, ensuring on-time delivery of compliant, high-quality proposals.
- Compliance Expertise: Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, and other federal procurement regulations to ensure all proposals meet required standards.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including business development, technical SMEs, contracts, pricing, and legal, to gather necessary content and ensure alignment with RFP requirements.
- Content Management: Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and schedules. Write, edit, and review proposal content for accuracy, clarity, and impact.
- Strategic Input: Contribute to win strategies, themes, and differentiators to enhance proposal competitiveness.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all proposals meet internal and external quality standards, are error-free, and are presented professionally.
- Post-Submission Activities: Lead debriefs and lessons-learned sessions to continuously improve the proposal process and enhance future success rates.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, English, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of [Insert Years] years of experience managing federal government proposals, with demonstrated expertise in FAR/DFARS and federal procurement processes.
- Proven success managing proposals for government agencies, including DoD and/or DHS.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of government acquisition lifecycles and proposal best practices (e.g., Shipley methodology).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with proposal development tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and proposal management software (e.g., SharePoint, Salesforce, or similar).
Preferred:
- Experience working on proposals for DoD and DHS agencies.
- APMP certification or similar credentials.
- Familiarity with classified proposal processes and secure handling procedures.
- Knowledge of pricing strategies and cost proposal development.
