The Director of Product Management, is a strategic Product Manager that creates and owns the product and product roadmap, is the liaison with the engineering team, and drives product strategy and innovation for our compelling software sold within the mortgage origination market. As the Director, Product Management at CreditXpert, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategy and features of our product to delight the customer. You will partner with Client Success and Product Marketing to understand and engage with our clients to understand and identify strategic product opportunities. As the Director of Product Management, you are strategic and creative, you have strong business acumen, you thrive in fast-paced environments, you are additive to the team, and you work effectively across functions to help the team exceed strategic business objectives. Essential Functions:
As the Director of Product Management, you will:
- Aggressively identify opportunities for improvement and incorporate new product features on an on-going basis that solve pain points and delight customers.
- Clearly understand client needs, behaviors, motivations, frustrations and pain points and activate that understanding to enable externally focused business choices; uncover, interpret, and champion client insights to enable brand strategies, communication and marketing plans.
- Thoroughly understand competitive products and strategy, and how they influence customer decisions and our position in the market.
- Owns and drives product increment strategy in support of the product road map.
- Establish, and drive towards key metrics to measure effectiveness, identify gaps, and take swift action on areas of improvement
- Create and maintain specifications of business and product requirements.
- Work with Marketing and Engineering to ensure successful positioning and launch of our offerings.
- Working closely with Client Success to communicate with clients, conduct client interviews, and actively participate in strategic QBRs.
- Discern how value is defined and perceived by each client segment and deliver the product to meet those needs.
- Develop Persona definitions detailing tasks, goals, motivations, frustrations and pain points to show empathy for the client’s perspective. (Prod mgmt.)
- Interact with customers frequently and understands their use cases and business in great depth. (prod mgmt.)
- Set performance targets for products. (prod mgmt.)
- Approve software as ready for release (in conjunction with other key stakeholders). (prod mgmt.)
- Give final approval of deployments that have deviations from intended product experience (with UX Director).
- Provide product requirements and direction to engineering teams, owning the product backlog for multiple projects.

Required Education and Experience
- 7+ years of product management experience managing a technology-driven product
- Demonstrated ability to originate a product idea and manage it through to revenue
- Experience understanding end users of a software product – successfully translating that into product features and experiences.
- Experience with user-centered design thinking/approach
- Successfully contributed to the strategy/vision of a product in recent work experience
- Proven ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization and the customer base to provide clear direction to the development team
- History of creating compelling positioning, messaging and thought leadership proof points
- Proven success managing a high performing team
- Mortgage industry experience helpful
