Our vision is to become the full-service end-of-life and memorialization destination.Legacy is looking for a part-time accounting clerk to assist with the daily and monthly reconciliation of all Legacy.com cash items and posting of business activity. This position is fully remote and can expect between 20-29 hours a week. This individual should be detail oriented, have a strong desire and ability to problem solve, and be able to investigate and make recommendations on discrepancies and unreconciled transactions. This bookkeeper will need to excel at time management to adhere to strict close deadlines.

Responsibilities:· Reconcile bank accounts by matching transactions in bank statements to entries recorded in the general ledger· Investigate unmatched reconciling items and record journal entry postings of cash· Record transactions into the general ledger as assignedRequirements· Minimum 2 years of experience in a related role· Basic understanding of accounting· Understanding of debits and credits· Experience entering/posting journal entries into general ledgers· Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and QuickBooks preferred but not required· Advanced excel skills· Strong communication skills· Strong attention to detail
