Full-timeDescriptionThe delivery driver is entrusted with the safe and efficient operation of a company delivery vehicle, with the objective of delivering an extensive array of equipment and supplies to customers along a designated route. Upon arrival at the customer's site, the delivery driver is responsible for carefully unloading the products, arranging them as necessary, and promptly removing any associated waste or packaging material.All employees are expected to adhere to Ace Mart business philosophy, guidelines and policies as laid out in the Ace Mart mission statement, Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures Manual and Safety Program.
Responsibilities:

Perform pre- and post- trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is ready for the road.Deliver and set in place restaurant equipment to local establishments.Assemble furniture.Load the truck in an efficient manner for unloading and confirming customer orders.Load and unload pallets with merchandise from box truck with use of a manual pallet jack.Ensure truck stock matches delivery requirements .Read and interpret maps and GPS directions.Maintain and organize all delivery paperwork and deliver it to the proper personnel at the end of each shift.Collect signature and/or payments at delivery locales.Complete logs and reports.Operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with local, state and federal laws.Keep vehicle organized, clean and tidy.Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints.Other job related duties as assigned by a supervisor.Requirements
Work Environment
Associates in this position will be working in an environment with these conditions:
- Delivery in outdoors conditions, but will also work in the warehouse which is a non-climate controlled environment
- Temperatures in the warehouse range from 45 to 95 degrees
- Noisy atmosphere
Physical Demands
- Pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screening.
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to operate basic warehouse material handling equipment such as:
- Four wheel carts
- Two wheel dollies
- Manual pallet jacks
- Daily activities will include:
- Standing
- Walking
- Bending
- Stooping on concrete floors and office tile floors
- Stand and walk up to eight (8) hours daily.
- Lift and lower boxes and objects 35” from the floor, 1-25 pounds 25 times daily; 26-50 pounds 10 times daily
- Operate a computer or handheld electronic devices.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position working an 8 hour shift, five days weekly (Monday through Friday) with limited opportunities to work overtime.
Travel
This position requires traveling along a route to deliver equipment.
Required Education and Experience
- At least 1-year warehouse/delivery experience
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Knowledge of:
Read and interpret bill of ladings, invoices, insurance certificates, and shipping manifests.Navigate using GPS instruments and mapsBasic warehousing documents such as packing lists, purchase orders, and delivery slipsBasic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers, fractions and decimals.Ability to read, write and speak effectively in English. Spanish speaking is a plusAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Must have excellent customer service and follow-up skillsMust be comfortable working in a warehouse type environment and outdoors
