Summary:
Create 3 & 4 & 5 axis programs (from Customer drawings and CAD files) for CNC mills and lathes, using CAM software, while meeting business unit quality requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:• Develop programs for CNC mills and lathes, maximizing quality and output • Write programs for 3, 4, and 5 axis machining centers including complex surfaces • Create user friendly programs for minimally skilled operators, with focus on ease of use • Troubleshoot and edit programs at machines as required • Provide tooling and fixturing recommendations as applicable • Maintain electronic files for all programs • Continually works to improve and optimize programs • Creates PO requisitions to order material, cutters, tooling, ect for new jobs • Create documentation necessary to manufacture parts • Stays current with the latest technology and software upgrades • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, vendors and customers.

Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Reasoning Ability: • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Physical Demands:• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
