The teams here at LemFi are passionate about their work and fields of expertise, but also lend hands on cross-functional responsibilities to ensure the success of the company and the satisfaction of our clientele.Job Summary:The Community Lead - South Asia will focus on promoting and selling LemFi’s services to South East Asian communities living and working in Canada, including but not limited to individuals from Philippines, Vietnam, e.t.c.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, with proven experience engaging with communities, associations, NGOs, universities, and similar networks in Toronto and across Canada.
Responsibilities are as follows:
- Develop and implement customer acquisition strategies through diverse sales and marketing initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with associations, community leaders, NGOs, social media influencers, and other key stakeholders to promote LemFi’s services.
- Lead and manage a team of promoters to ensure effective market penetration and brand visibility.
- Drive awareness and trust within the Southeast Asian diaspora by engaging with communities and leveraging cultural touchpoints.
- Own and achieve customer acquisition and revenue targets in the designated sender country.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop localized marketing campaigns and promotional activities tailored to the Southeast Asian audience.
- Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to optimize growth strategies.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring that LemFi remains the preferred online remittance service for Southeast Asian migrants.
Requirements:
- Advanced education degree is preferred but not required;
- 5 - 7 year's proven experience in sales, marketing, or community engagement, preferably within financial services, fintech, or diaspora-focused businesses.
- Strong network within Southeast Asian communities in Canada.
- Ability to establish and nurture relationships with associations, NGOs, universities, and influencers.
- Experience leading teams, managing promoters, and executing grassroots marketing strategies.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to track performance and optimize campaigns for growth.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
