About The Team:


The Growth Engineering team focuses on a customer’s first impression when they land on the home page, providing a seamless experience as they subscribe to CookUnity and a delightful way to find and order their favorite meals from 300+ menu items.Growth Engineering projects help our customers and drive revenue. It’s a high-impact role with the ability to influence all parts of CookUnity.

The Role:


As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our Growth Zone, directly reporting to the Engineering Lead.Collaborating closely with a Product Manager and a designer, you'll shape the product strategy, define OKRs, and chart the roadmap. Your responsibilities will extend to maintaining regular communication with senior management, and providing updates on status, risk assessment, and the broader product strategy.This position offers an opportunity to drive meaningful impact within our team and organization, contributing your expertise to guide our product's growth and success.

  • Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Redis, DataDog, Segment
  • Methodology: Agile
  • Architecture: Service Oriented

Responsibilities:


  • Owning the design and implementation of features within our Javascript stack that engage customers and have a meaningful impact on people’s lives.
  • Iterating on new and existing features to improve user experience and performance.
  • Actively contribute to the adoption of strong software architecture, development of best practices, and new technologies.
  • Improving the maturity of our technical stack with engineering best practices.
  • Being part of the code review process and helping to mentor other engineers.
  • Contribute technically to projects by being a hands-on coder, removing roadblocks, and repairing technical issues.
  • Partner with members of Product, Growth, Marketing, Customer Experience and other teams to continually refine and improve our product in an agile process.
  • Helping to have higher levels of uptime & supporting the on-call rotation that will help the business run 24/7.

Minimum Requirements:


  • You have at least +5yrs of experience as a Software Engineer, and you can engage with projects in ReactJS, NodeJS, GraphQL, MySQL, and TypeScript.
  • You have experience designing and building cloud architecture, backends, middle ends, web apps, basically the whole combo!
  • Experience implementing and maintaining unit tests and e2e tests.
  • Strong knowledge of service-oriented architectures.
  • You understand how to interact with and build backend REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration.
  • Advanced level of English.

Preferred Requirements:


  • You're proficient in relational database management.
  • Experience working with Docker/Kubernetes/CI environments.
  • You enjoy working in small teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring teams is highly valued.
