Due to this expansion,
we are looking for a
Shipping Coordinator
to join our team in Amsterdam.In this full-time role, you will coordinate the ins and outs of shipments through our warehouse to some of the biggest companies in the world. To be successful, you need to be highly organized, accurate, and physically able to move boxes varying in weight & size. Sound good? Keep reading!
What you'll do:
- Responsible for efficient and timely coordination of parcel courier shipments while maintaining all required internal communications
- Procure rates and schedule international air and ocean freight shipments while coordinating with internal stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work well with others, self-motivated and capable of working independently with little supervision
- Help design a scalable logistics network across our global network of suppliers and customers
- Improve the efficiency of our new warehouse through process improvement projects
- Hands-on approach aiding cross dock team with coordinating of inbound/outbound orders, which consists of tracking, scanning, receiving, weighing, measuring, opening, inspecting, removing paperwork, repacking, relabelling, and shipping out using various couriers
- May use a pallet jack but does not operate a forklift
- Maintain a clean and sanitary operating environment
- Directly work with carriers (e.g., DHL, UPS) to manage issues
- Work with other teams (such as Sales) to make sure we can deliver the best service to our customers
What it takes:
- You are native/ fluent in English
- A ‘can-do’ mindset and willingness to jump into action
- Must be able to move boxes varying in weights & sizes
- You're looking for long term opportunity (no temp job seekers)
- A desire to improve efficiency and workflows
- An ownership mindset - you stick with an issue until it’s solved
Bonus, but not required:- Previous warehouse/ Logistics experience
