Join our Talent CommunityThe Opportunity:The Outbound Customer Service Specialist is responsible for the daily management of orders shipping out of the recycling plants to customers. This position reports to the Customer Service Manager.How you will make an impact:The duties and responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited, to the following items:
- Accurately and timelyentering orders and ensuring all orders are closed within the proper timeline window.
- Adding received weight information to the Outbound (OB) Weights Report.
- Ensuring pricing accuracy on all shipments – product and freight.
- Updating all Service Orders in cieTrade once Purchase Order (PO) is received from customers.
- Confirming pricing is correct before closing of loads.
- Communicating and coordinating with Transportation Team to ensure orders are tendered in a timely manner.
- Daily coordination with plant operations on material to be picked up following day.
- Maintaining daily the Outbound virtual board for the plants reflecting all shipments.
- Ensuring POs are updated on the virtual board.
- Coordinating with sales the movement of material and provide customer support.
- Attending weekly inventory calls to ensure all volume is scheduled for the current and following week.
- Communicating to sales and customers when there are deviations in shipping schedule.
- For export orders, ensuring timely receipt of all necessary pictures and other required documentation for the customer.
- Verifying maximum weights are being loaded on each export container; and communicating to operations any variances less than the min/max on PO.
- Coordinating set up of new customers with – sales, accounting, and plant operations.
- Processing all freight invoices in cieTrade.
Travel Demands:Anticipated travel is less than 10%.What you need to succeed:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience
- Experience with cieTrade or equivalent operating system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Strong Attention to Detail
- Ability to work individually or as a team
- Ability to problem solve /handle matters of complexity in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to exercise independent judgment to support continuity of business operation
