Travel Demands:
The Scale Master is responsible for the daily management of the scale activity for inbound and outbound trucks, as well as communicating with operations on materials coming into the plant and leaving the plant for planning purposes and providing clerical support to the plant. This position reports to the Operations Manager.
How you will make an impact:
The duties and responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited, to the following items:
- Responding timely to trucks entering the scale.
- Ensuring proper Bill of Lading matches the loads being picked up by specific carrier.
- Communicating daily with the Operations Manager regarding the inbound and outbound load plans for the following day.
- Communicating changes to Customer Service Specialist in a timely manner in the event a production issue requires a change in the loads coming in or picking up the next day(s).
- Maintaining the status of empty and loaded trailers in the yard.
- Supporting the Operations Manager on communication with the yard jockey for trailer needs.
- Managing all necessary documents for shipments and sending daily to deemed parties.
- Sending all loading/unloading reports to the appropriate CSR contact as applicable.
- Uploading all container photos for export shipments in a timely manner.
- Sending all invoices received at the plant to the procurement team.
- Keeping the Plant PO list updated (sending invoices to the AP team).
- Forwarding any freight invoices to CSR Team – hauler invoices.

Travel is not anticipated for this role.
What you need to succeed:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience
- Experience with scale technology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Strong Attention to Detail
