The Production Supervisor will be responsible for providing expertise in the development of new and/or improved methods of manufacturing for current and new product designs and supervise production associates in the efficient performance of their duties to meet production requirements while adhering to cost and budget objectives. This position will report to the Manufacturing Superintendent and is based at our Components location in Beatrice, Nebraska. Compensation dependent upon qualifications.

Job Description: Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift


Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain production associate’s performance by coaching, counseling and disciplining associates; Complete Performance Evaluations for associates in the area.
  • Assist in the hiring process.
  • Train new associates.
  • Administer company policies.
  • Develop and adhere to budgets. 
  • Identify current and future production requirements.
  • Support product development and continuous improvement. 
  • Design, implement and modify productivity programs.
  • Maintain production schedules and direct departmental production operations.
  • Ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment. 
  • Rotate tasks within the assigned work group.
  • Work extra hours to maintain production requirements, as required.
  • Planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills


  • Position requires the knowledge and experience necessary to efficiently direct multiple operations and demonstrate sound supervisory/leadership skills.  
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to work well with others, including engineering, quality personnel, and managers.
  •  Excellent math and mechanical skills, the ability to problem solve, and a good understanding of production floor environment is required.   

Education


  • High school diploma, GED or equivalency preferred.   Vocational training helpful.
