Job Summary:
The Portfolio Management Intern is an integral part of the Portfolio Management Group (PMG). PMG resides within the firm’s Investment Department and is responsible for ongoing investment research & monitoring, platform/portfolio management & implementation, field & compliance support, and firm AUM oversight.In this role, the intern will contribute to overall development, management, and support of the Mercer Advisors’ investment platform, and focus primarily on Firm AUM oversight. The intern will partner closely with the Director of Portfolio Management to ensure the firm’s investment platform remains best-in-class and supports the firm’s planning-focused business model.
Essential Job Functions for the Internship will include:
- Support the monitoring of fundamentals, risk, and performance of current model portfolios, external and internal SMAs, and strategies consisting of mutual funds, ETFs, interval funds, private placements, and other investment vehicles.
- Develop and maintain due diligence reports and investment committee memo’s as needed.

Required Knowledge, Ability and Skills:
Detail oriented and able to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple time-sensitive projects with a high degree of accuracy.
- Enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s degree program (industry related discipline preferred)
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of factor-based investing, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis, a plus.
- Knowledge of financial markets, investment vehicles, and illiquid alternatives, a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and remain flexible as priorities change
Work Schedule
Daytime Hours: 8am-5pm local time
Salary
The compensation for this role is $20/hour.

This is a fully remote internship
Duration
The internship will be hosted over 10 weeks starting on June 2nd and ending August 8th
Working Conditions
Professional office environment. Working inside, siting, standing. Will be assigned to a work station.
