Cognicion LLC, a boutique eDiscovery services and information management provider is actively recruiting a motivated, currently enrolled college student interested in gaining a paid client services internship this summer. The internship will provide real world exposure to the eDiscovery industry as well as the day-to-day activities and requirements of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model. Responsibilities include assisting and supporting internal client service teams in the collection, processing, review, and production of electronically stored information. Located in Richmond Virginia's financial district, Cognicion's client services internship will have a hybrid work schedule of 2-3 days per week being in person on-site.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Collaborates and works with internal teams to learn and execute each phase of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model.Assists in providing ongoing project- or matter-related support to internal client service teams.Provides research, analysis, and recommendation for future state eDiscovery technology and/or process questions.Demonstrates organizational skills and effective use of time e.g., ability to plan daily work, set priorities and manage time to ensure work is timely and efficiently completed.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)
- High School Diploma.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program; currently enrolled in a Juris Doctor degree program preferred.
- Interest in information systems, data science, or project management helpful.
- Expected graduation between June 2025 and June 2027.
- Strong academic achievement; a GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
- Prior experience working in an information systems or eDiscovery field preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office Products and other technology platforms.
