We are seeking a proactive and experienced IT Support Specialist to provide technical support to Smokeball’s users and ensuring the IT systems and equipment are functioning efficiently. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user access, and assisting with network and system maintenance to ensure a seamless and secure IT environment. This person would report to the Head of Global Business Systems.
This is a hybrid role with our office being in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users on hardware, software, and network-related issues in person and via phone, email, and remote support tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems, including hardware and software malfunctions, network connectivity issues, and printer errors.
- Install, configure, and maintain user computers in an efficient and professional manner.
- Supporting users with Microsoft Windows (11), Microsoft 365 services, and desktop applications.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols for systems and applications.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of new employees' IT equipment, ensuring timely onboarding.
- Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
- Assist with basic network administration tasks.
- Work with the IT team to provide training and guidance to end-users on IT-related topics, including best practices for system usage
- Support the IT team with troubleshooting, system updates, and software deployments.
- Ensure all IT service requests are resolved within defined service levels and according to their priority.
- Prioritise assigned workload, coordinate activities and manage deadlines.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support when necessary.
What You Bring
- Certifications in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 11), Microsoft 365 and common IT hardware and software.
- Experience in managing Microsoft 365.
- Experience in administration of devices and packaging applications using Microsoft Intune.
- Experiencing using remote support tools.
- Basic networking knowledge.
- Experience in a customer service environment.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), high level of professionalism and the ability to manage stressful situations
- Passionate about new technologies and show willingness to learn
