About Product Compliance


Product Compliance focuses on advising Product, Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing and Customer Experience (CX) teams on designing compliant products and operations by translating and operationalizing requirements applicable to regulated, custodial wallets and custom stablecoins issued on behalf of enterprise customers and their end-user retail customers.

Overview


As Product Compliance Lead, you will be a key leader in navigating the complex regulatory landscape of the digital asset space. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust product compliance strategy and program, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, and fostering a culture of compliance across the organization. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring our products and features meet all applicable regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Design, Data, Marketing and CX teams to embed compliance into every stage of the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product compliance program, including policies, procedures, and training materials, tailored to our custodial wallet infrastructure and stablecoin issuance, custodian and orchestration platform.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, Data, Marketing and CX teams to ensure compliance is integrated into the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments of new and existing products and features, identifying potential compliance gaps and recommending mitigation strategies while considering customer and business impact.
  • Monitoring evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to digital assets, custodial services, stablecoins, and adapt the compliance program accordingly.
  • Partner with the Legal team to interpret, and partner with Engineering, Product, Design, Data, Marketing and CX teams to implement regulatory compliance requirements including partnering w/the Marketing team to develop and implement marketing guidelines and review process.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on product compliance for relevant teams, fostering a culture of compliance awareness.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of compliance monitoring and reporting controls including partnering with the CX team on developing scripts, procedures and training for compliance with consumer protection requirements, and oversight of the customer complaints process (including monitoring to ensure complaints intake, acknowledgments, investigations, escalations and resolutions are effective and in compliance with policy).
  • Investigate and resolve compliance incidents and escalate issues as necessary
  • Represent the company in regulatory inquiries and audits.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and their potential impact on compliance.
  • Build and lead a high-performing product compliance team.

Qualifications


  • 12+ years of experience in compliance, preferably in the financial services or technology industry.
  • Deep understanding of regulations and compliance requirements related to digital assets, stablecoins, payments, and banking products and services.
  • Experience with custodial services and regulated financial products is a strong plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess complex compliance risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective and efficient compliance programs.
  • Experience leading and mentoring a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for innovation, digital assets and the future of finance.
