Position Overview
As the Warehouse Assistant/Shipping and Receiving, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that inbound shipments are received accurately, inventory is organized effectively, and outgoing shipments are prepared for timely delivery to Amazon and other warehouse locations. This includes proactive and effective communication with external suppliers, freight forwarders, inbound logistics companies, and providing transparent communication with internal teams.
This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations and Logistics and works closely the internal operations team and external freight forwarders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect inbound shipments to warehouse
- Organize inventory in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring ease of access and accurate tracking
- Repack and relabel products as needed to meet quality standards and requirements
- Prepare shipments for outbound delivery, including picking, packing, and labeling items according to shipping guidelines
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely transportation of goods
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse, adhering to safety and compliance standards at all times
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software tools to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with manager to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Create and manage FBA shipments bound for Amazon warehouses.
- Communicate the FBA shipment requirements to the freight forwarder that is tasked with prepping Amazon PO’s for shipment to Amazon warehouse
- Provide generalized Support where needed throughout the Operations department
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in shipping and receiving roles
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and packages, often exceeding 50 pounds, throughout an 8-hour shift
- 1+ years of inventory management experience
- Experience with Amazon Seller Central a plus
- Experience with IMS or ERP a plus (Cin7, NetSuite, Stitch Labs, etc.).
- Strong organization skills and attention to details is a must.
Additional Details
:
- Seasonal Full-time position based in San Diego - 3 month Period with possibility of becoming a permanent position based on business need and performance
- Position is in person, Monday - Friday
- Free product allowance after 40 hours of work!
Compensation
:
- Pay will be commensurate with experience and skill set. Expected range: $21-$22/Hour
