Your mission
- Drive the technical vision and architecture for CoinTracker.
- Identify and solve complex technical challenges related to performance, scalability, and system reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
Your one year outcomes
- Scale the end-to-end data foundation stack to support 10M+ transactions per user.
- Establish the foundational architecture for the new Cost basis engine product.
- Develop a long-term engineering vision aligned with business goals.
What you will do
- Tackle the most challenging technical problems and provide guidance on trade-offs and optimal solutions.
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and leadership teams.
- Contribute to code reviews and architectural discussions.
- Mentor engineers fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, introduce new technologies, and align engineering efforts with business objectives.

- Role-specific
- 14+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of designing and implementing large scale systems.
- 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of backend technologies, including cloud platforms, databases, orchestrators, messaging systems, data pipelines, and more.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives from inception through execution.
- Experience with real-time data processing systems.
- Experience with Enterprise SaaS development.

The starting salary for this position is between $292,500 - $375,000. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of job-related factors including relevant skills, education, and experience. This position also includes equity in CoinTracker and benefits like medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and PTO.
