We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join Vivrelle during our exciting growth phase. In this role, you'll build and scale our data and e-commerce platforms that are revolutionizing how our generation experiences fashion and luxury. You'll work on innovative solutions that power the data behind our e-commerce site and internal operational tools, implementing features that enhance our data-driven decisions and internal efficiency. 
This role requires a strong technical foundation in Python, AWS and data pipeline development combined with a deep understanding of subscription business models, e-commerce and financial data reconciliation. The ideal candidate is not just someone who can follow established engineering patterns, but someone who is a sharp, independent thinker and can break down complex problems, recognize patterns and device solutions - even in unfamiliar territory.Join us in transforming the future of luxury fashion access! We're looking for someone who's not just a great engineer, but also passionate about creating innovative solutions that enhance how people experience luxury fashion.This position requires working on East Coast hours, with a strong preference for candidates based in the NYC metro area. This will be a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:


  • Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for extracting, transforming and loading data from multiple sources, including Google Sheets, Stripe and backend systems.
  • Automate data ingestion and transformation workflows using Python and AWS services.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through reconciliation processes with backend databases.
  • Work closely with finance and operations teams to track subscription revenue, customer churn, and key subscription metrics using Stripe and internal databases.
  • Support rental business models, ensuring accurate product catalog data synchronization across multiple platforms.
  • Develop and maintain B2B and B2C e-commerce reporting pipelines.
  • Develop custom reports and dashboards to track key business metrics.
  • Partner with stakeholders to improve data visibility and decision making.
  • Ensure data reliability and accuracy in reporting systems.
  • Provide analysis, reporting and decision support across multiple departments and systems joining disparate data together to inform your decisions.

Requirements:


  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, specifically in startups
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Experience with AWS (e.g. Lamba, S3, Glue, RDS, Redshift)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases
  • Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Sigma, Lookr, Tableau
  • Understanding of subscription business models, Stripe subscriptions, and key subscription metrics
  • Experience with Google Sheets data extraction and integration
  • Familiarity with e-commerce, product catalogs and rental model
  • Ability to reconcile data cross multiple sources to ensure accuracy
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and how they apply to financial reporting
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with the Braze API, supporting advanced customer engagement and lifecycle messaging integrations
  • Our Data Stack: Python, SQL/ AWS Lambda, RDS, Snowflake, Sigma, Fivetran and Segment/ Stripe, Elasticpath
