About the role


The Analytics Engineering team is focused on translating our trove of data into consumable models and tools that accelerate time-to-insight for HashiCorp’s R&D organization.As an Analytics Manager II, you are an individual contributor who will work closely with Data Engineering and product teams to orchestrate pipelines that power your models and dashboards to enable actionable insights for your stakeholders. You will make it easier for every PM and business stakeholder at HashiCorp to reliably self-serve answers to their questions about customer behavior and product usage, by leveraging the wealth of customer and product data we generate.

Responsibilities:


  • Own the creation and maintenance of self-serve tools (data models, reports, dashboards, etc.) that enable stakeholders to leverage data in decision-making.
  • Identify and drive opportunities to make data more consumable, decreasing time-to-insight for analytics consumers.

Skills and Experience:


  • 5+ years of overall related experience.
  • SQL certifications are a plus.
  • Several years developing analytics from data to dashboard using tools like Tableau, Looker, and Sigma in an enterprise SaaS environment. 
  • Experience handling data from business systems like Salesforce and Netsuite.
  • Experience handling event and timeseries data.
  • Strong grasp of SQL, shaping data, and effectively querying multiple tables of different grains with the use of subqueries and window functions.
  • Excellent problem-solving analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex results.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on written communication.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Strong business acumen with years experience developing analytics specifically for go-to-market (Sales, Marketing, Services) and/or product functions.
  • Knowledge of visualization best practices.
  • Strong grasp of data modeling and universal semantic layers.
  • Understands both data lake and data warehousing approaches to data management.
