Toast is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Senior Revenue Accountant to join its revenue accounting team. This position will be based in Chennai, India. The Senior Revenue Accountant will report to the Revenue Accounting Manager and is responsible for maintenance and implementation of our revenue systems applications and ensuring they are in compliance with GAAP. This is a challenging, highly visible role that requires problem solving and the ability to navigate a complex Order to Cash environment.

* (Responsibilities)●Lead systems testing on revenue applications for implementation and change management. Involves testing various scenarios, analyzing for patterns and determining appropriate course of action●Analyze revenue transactions to evaluate data integrity and proper treatment of transactions within various systems●Drive projects, including system enhancements and implementations by partnering with the BTT (Business technology and transformation) team● Stabilization monitoring and ongoing improvement to revenue subledger● Leverage system knowledge to help build sustainable automation and drive business insights on current and future reporting platforms●Ensure compliance with GAAP standards, establish SOX controls and documentation, with deep understanding of ASC 606

? (Requirements)●5+ years of accounting with data management experience (with at least 2+ years in revenue accounting)●Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Skills in data analysis is a plus.●Strong knowledge of revenue accounting standard ASC 606●Advanced Excel skills with ability to synthesize and analyze large sets of data●High degree of accuracy and attention to detail●Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate complex scenarios and topics to team and supervisors in a clear, logical manner●Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and at various levels within a company●Strong problem-solving skills and work ethicSpecial Sauce* (Nonessential Skills/Nice to Haves)●Experience with revenue accounting at a fast-growing similar SaaS company●Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and RevPro is highly desirable●CA or CPA or equivalent preferred*Bread puns encouraged but not required
