The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organized and process-oriented Marketing Intern to join our team for the summer. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in optimizing our marketing systems, supporting data-driven campaigns, and ensuring operational excellence. You will gain hands-on experience in
marketing automation, SEO, and account-based marketing (ABM)
while contributing to initiatives that power our marketing strategy.This work matters. Even a small change to optimize electricity usage can significantly impact our customers, electrical grid, and environment. We're building something that will have a lasting, positive impact.
Our new Marketing Intern will:
Deliver
- Assist in building and maintaining marketing systems and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Support SEO strategy and execution, including keyword research, directory audits, content optimization, and technical SEO audits.
- Contribute to the implementation of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies and data-driven campaign initiatives.
- Help develop and manage marketing workflows, lead tracking, automation, and reporting in HubSpot.
- Assist with setup and analysis of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console for marketing performance analysis.
Report.
- Analyze marketing data and provide insights to improve campaign performance and lead generation.
- Track and report on key marketing KPIs, including website traffic, lead conversion rates, and campaign effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with pertinent legislation and regulations related to digital marketing, data privacy, and email marketing.
Collaborate.
- Work cross-functionally with sales, product, and business development teams to support lead generation and nurturing.
- Coordinate with external vendors or agencies on marketing initiatives, as required.
- Support the team in managing marketing assets, databases, and content distribution.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with different functional groups

What you will bring to Peak Power:
The experience and education. You have proven experience delivering success in a fast-paced, multi-tasking role where you are comfortable working autonomously.
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program, working toward a degree in Marketing or a related field (preferred).
- Experience using HubSpot for marketing automation and lead management.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and ABM methodologies.
- Understanding of marketing compliance regulations (CASL, GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
The Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Salesforce is an asset but not required.
- Familiarity with B2B marketing strategies in energy, cleantech, or SaaS industries is a plus.
