The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Senior Accountant and Director of Finance on day-to-day accounting operations and special projects.
What You'll Do
- Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting operations for month-end close activities including posting journal entries, and preparing reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Book monthly Accrued Processor Receivable, Sales Tax Payable and Deferred Revenue based on Shopify and PayPal reports for the period
- Record detail for touring activity based on artist and venue merch settlements
- Reconcile receivable activity for Shopify, Paypal, and tour receipts utilizing processor statements from respective portals
- Prepare invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
- Process vendor invoices and credits
- Process domestic and international wire payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate any discrepancies
- Collect and maintain proper documentation from vendors
- Ensure daily bank entries are properly coded
- Complete annual 1099-Filing for vendors
- Assist with annual audit (AP selections)
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 1-3+ years of accounting experience
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
- Proficiency in Excel including use of look ups and pivot tables
- Ability to work independently, proactively follow-up, and ensure attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask in fast paced and high-volume environment
- Must show accountability, be a team player and operate with a sense of urgency
- Exposure to QBO, Google Suite, and Tableau preferred
- Los Angeles metro area based

$28 - $32 an hourThe Pay Range, which consists of salary and commission, for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
