Key Outputs
• Planning, Scheduling, and monitoring job progress and work in progress (WIP) by using an appropriate planning system • Planning cost elements on service jobs (Labour, Parts and Bought outs) • Achievement of maximum productivity and profitability • Apply warranty policies and procedures, including service warranty • Issuing or job instructions to and dispatching of artisans (briefing) • Initiation and control of Bought Out requests• Follow up on parts, quotes and service reports • Assist with achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) • Assist with effective control of cost centre expenses and Work-in-Progress • Apply Warranty policies and procedures, including Warranty decisions and Service Warranty investigations.
• Resolve internal and external customer queries
Qualification, Experience and Competencies
• Trade certificate (Diesel or Heavy Earthmoving Mechanic) advantageous • Minimum 3 years relevant experience. • Computer Literacy (MS Office, SIS, STW / ET, CAT inspect. myCat.com) • SAP knowledge advantageous • Good communication skills and customer relations, • Must be a Team player and be willing to work overtime • Problem Solving Skills and Technical Competence, Rule orientation and Mechanical Reasoning • Verbal and written communication skills• Understanding the service work order process, Attention to detail, Teamwork
