Electronics Engineer

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an electronics engineer to join our development team. As the ideal candidate, you enjoy exploring new technologies and are well-versed in all aspects of bringing complex hardware products to market. Your broad experience with embedded systems gives you the skills to take a concept from requirement analysis and design through to implementation, validation, manufacturing, and deployment.  
You are diligent, proactive and have a reputation for taking an innovative approach when tackling difficult problems. You enjoy collaborating in a small team environment and demonstrate the resourcefulness, initiative, and intuition needed to navigate through the challenges of new product development in an entrepreneurial setting. You take ownership of your deliverables and take pride in the knowledge that your designs will have a meaningful impact on end-users. 

You will


  • Collaborate with the project team to evaluate customer and market requirements and propose architectural solutions that will complement Nureva’s project objectives and software product suite
  • Establish a hardware development strategy based on overall system architecture and deliverables
  • Design and implement electronics designs (schematic/layout) to meet functional requirements, along with performance and quality metrics. This may include a range of features and technologies, including FPGA/DSP/Microcontrollers, power regulation, sensor integration, and user interface
  • Define and manage schedules and budgets for assigned activities
  • Create and maintain design documentation
  • Develop and execute design test plans to ensure module and system level performance and quality, including compliance testing for Safety and Electromagnetic Compatibility
  • Work with New Product Introduction (NPI) to support volume manufacturing
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Nureva’s end-to-end product development processes by implementing best practices to enhance product performance and quality
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for future product portfolio enhancements
  • Contribute to Nureva’s growing intellectual property portfolio

You bring


  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics hardware design, including schematic development and PCB layout
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing microcontroller, DSP, and FPGA-based electronic designs using Altium or similar tools
  • Proficiency with analog and digital designs, with experience in communication interfaces such as USB, I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, and Bluetooth
  • Strong understanding of Design for Manufacture principles, and EMC mitigation techniques
  • Hands-on experience operating a wide range of electronic assembly and test equipment
  • Knowledge of IPC standards and electronics manufacturing processes
  • Proven ability to meet project deliverables in a fast-paced development environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Experience with audio design concepts is an asset
