Our mission is to empower communities to waste less, and every success our team celebrates means more waste saved from the landfill and more valuable donations in the hands of local non-profits.About the roleRidwell is seeking an Operations Supervisor to help oversee the day-to-day operations of our Bay Area fleet and warehouse teams. This role involves leading operations in the area, overseeing a team of drivers and warehouse associates, and continually enhancing efficiency. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in fast-paced environments, adept at working in teams, and a creative problem solver.

You have strong communication skills, operational expertise, and a can-do attitude. Due to business operations, you need to be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and driving in all weather conditions.The warehouse is located in San Leandro, CA.

Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM - 4 PM PST

Wage:


$32 per hour

Responsibilities


  • Manage, train, and develop employees by providing ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure lasting team engagement and motivation
  • Oversee work assignments and scheduling to ensure timely completion of daily pickup routes while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency
  • Coordinate fleet maintenance and repairs by overseeing regular maintenance schedules, managing repairs, and ensuring the fleet meets safety standards and is operational
  • Step in as a backup driver when necessary to ensure that all scheduled stops are completed without delay, ensuring continuity of service and maintaining member happiness
  • Manage warehouse operations, focusing on optimizing workflow, increasing operational efficiency, and implementing process improvements to enhance overall performance
  • Conduct inventory counts of bins, bags, and supplies as needed, ensuring accuracy in stock levels and managing inventory to avoid shortages

Requirements


  • 3+ years of operations supervision experience
  • Must have experience supervising hourly employee
  • Scrappy, proactive, comfortable with ambiguity, takes initiative, and adapts easily in a fast-growing environment
  • You take ownership of your work and team and are available to work overtime and as needed year-round
  • A growth mindset that sees every activity as an opportunity to learn
  • Experience hiring and training teams. Warehouse experience is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
