With a dedicated team of experts and a commitment to technological advancements, Qube Technologies is at the forefront of driving positive change in environmental impact management.Role Overview:As the Accounting Manageryou will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s financial operations include the accounting, reporting and analysis thereof. The role will be responsible for the full operational accounting, internal & financial reporting, and compliance with regulations. The role will draw on your experience in providing insights and recommendations to support the company’s growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and oversee the full cycle accounting functions (GL, A/R, A/P, Inventory, Cost of Sales) including recording of transactions, preparation of working papers (reconciliations, continuity schedules) and adjusting entries.
- Prepare monthly customer invoices (billing and revenue recognition).
- Timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements.
- Review and analyze financial results, identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide guidance on complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and financial instruments.
- Stay updated with new accounting standards and assess their impact on the organization.
- Manage the general ledger function, including chart of accounts, and subledgers.
- Responsible for month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Monitor and analyze general ledger activity to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
- Prepare and manage GST and sales tax reporting.
- Support the implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Support team in preparation of operational and strategic ad hoc analyses.
- Support the monthly forecasting process and annual budgeting cycle.
- Assist with customer contracting and onboarding
- And other duties as assigned.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the Accounting team, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Collaborate with other functional teams to evaluate the financial implications of new business initiatives and transactions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, regulatory bodies, and advisors.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
- Experience (minimum 8 years) in full cycle accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Experience with inventory accounting management.
- Strong analytical skills and a questioning mind.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and timely records.
- Motivation, focus, and organization skills to plan and manage multiple processes.
- Financial experience in the software industry.
