  Tenstorrent USA Inc seeks Senior Engineer. Job site is located at 2600 Great America Way Ste 501, Santa Clara, CA 95054. The position requires a master’s degree in electrical engineering (EE), Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), or Computer Engineering (CE) or closely related field. Skills: Knowledge of networking chip design, Proficiency in C/C++ programming, RTL, understanding of ML/AI algorithms, understanding SOC fabric, memory and accelerator technology.
The position is fully remote and can live anywhere in the US, however, will require to travel to Santa Clara, CA, approximately once every three months (quarterly).

Job Duties:


  • Collaborate with the software team and platform architecture team to understand CPU hardware requirements for AI accelerator compiler, OS, video/image/voice processing, security, networking, and virtualization technology. •Identify the application performance bottlenecks. •Identify representative benchmarks for the software applications. •Use the benchmarks and the performance model to perform data-driven analysis to evaluate software, architecture, and u-architecture solutions to improve performance, power efficiency, or reduce hardware. •Set CPU architecture direction based on the data analysis and work with a cross-functional team to achieve the best hardware/software solutions to meet PPA goals. •Develop a cycle-accurate CPU model that describes the microarchitecture, use it for evaluation of new features with C/C++, Verilog, Python, Perl, and System Verilog. •Collaborate with RTL and Physical design engineers to make power, performance, and area trade-offs. Drive analysis and correlation of performance feature both pre- and post-silicon. •Develop a data movement architecture that optimizes throughput of tensorized data •Develop an architecture for glueless routing between chips in an N-dimensional topology.
