Role Overview:
As the Solution Architect for Proposals, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into executable and scalable technical architectures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product / project managers, engineers, and clients, to ensure alignment and successful solution delivery. You will leverage your technical expertise to evaluate existing systems, identify gaps, and propose innovative solutions that optimize performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Architecture:
- Design and document comprehensive technical architectures for complex systems, considering scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and frameworks to meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define and refine technical requirements.
- Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies.
- Facilitate technical discussions and workshops.
Technology Evaluation & Innovation:
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and approaches to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct proof-of-concepts and prototypes to validate technical solutions.
Client Engagement :
- Present technical solutions to clients and stakeholders.
- Gather and analyze client requirements to develop tailored solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on technical matters.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure solutions comply with security and compliance standards.
- Design and implement security measures to protect data and systems.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 15 years of experience in software development, system architecture, or related roles.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex technical solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), systems architecture, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with database design and implementation (SQL, NoSQL).
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
- Excellent knowledge of networking, security, and infrastructure concepts.
- Knowledge of API design and implementation.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
- Experience with the DoD, Federal and State government acquisition processes.
