Pacific Defense is seeking a person with a unique skillset borne of extensive field experience and honed by leading deployment teams for the exhibition of critical technologies and capabilities to customers and market movers. In addition, you will transition systems from Lab Testing into the hands of our customers. You will be the face of Pacific Defense during the hand off to customers. You will bring your experience in field work, hands-on, operations and in maintenance to help build training and maintenance material.The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-starting, and not easily bowed by roadblocks.

Maybe you are ex-military with Radio, SIGINT, and/or rapid field deployment experience? US Army EW operators, communications techs, maintenance techs are perfect experience sets for this position. Couple that with your experience modifying ground vehicles (civilian and military) you could find a very satisfying position at Pacific DefenseYou would report to the Integration and Test group where you would be part of and eventually lead deployment teams and field service response efforts. These teams represent Pacific Defense by deploying its converged products to our customers and in sponsored government demonstrations and trade shows as well as field service for our customer base. Pacific Defense conducts dozens of deployments per year of various types and the success of them has led to exponential growth and opportunity.Pacific Defense develops a wide variety of CMOSS/SOSA aligned products from Chassis to specialized circuit cards performing Timing/Position generation, communications, Electronic Warfare, and maintenance technician support.

One of the things that sets Pacific Defense apart is our integration of 3rd party products and commitment to Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA). You will be frequently asked to take a partner or GFE/CFE product and introduce it into the CMOSS/SOSA infrastructure.Pacific Defense seeks those with a wide variety of talents and desire to expand them. Requirements


  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Highly motivated
  • System Engineering Acumen
  • Comfortable troubleshooting software, hardware, etc
  • Familiar with RF fundamentals + test equipment
  • Has experience with US Army and/or USMC Ground vehicles USN, USAF, and USCG experience equally valued
  • Desire to learn new technologies
  • Viewed as a strong leader by peers
  • Expert communicator to wide variety of people
  • Comfortable in a wide variety of situations (ie lab, field events, customer demonstrations)
  • Ability to travel (amount negotiable)
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and work with stakeholders on deconfliction
  • Unafraid to make mistakes
  • Self-starter
  • Aircraft experience

Responsibilities


  • Stand up and run a Field Service Rep section (leadership)
  • Work collaboratively with various engineering teams to iteratively provide field and customer feedback to continuously improve our products
  • Learn from Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to become technically adept with new technologies
  • Become an expert operator on Pacific Defense’s systems and be able to represent the company in the field
  • Leads through both example and direct guidance, ensuring alignment with company goals and expectations
  • Developing, implementing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for systems that are to be deployed
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise during the development and/or deployment
  • Developing and implementing deployment plans for systems
  • Creating and maintaining documentation related to integration, testing, and deployment processes
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to integration, testing, and deployment
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to junior members of the team
